Rice Cooker Bread 


First loaf of bread baked in the rice cooker is somewhat of a flop, although it tastes great. As you can see, it failed to rise as it should have. A niggle in the back of my mind is that instant yeast isn't meant to be used in bread you rise twice, despite the assurances from the blogger who first pointed me to the idea instant yeast is what they used. hmmmm.






Tried it again using the method of considering a brief rest the first rise and then rising in pan kept warm only once, I got the above comparatively mile-high rise. Will try to let you know how it tastes, but will probably be busy stuffing my face with tasty bread. :)
